How LOWA Protects Our Lake

Cost-Share Services

Low Impact Landscaping

Use of Missouri native plants, terracing, and buffer strips serve to protect soil erosion and storm runoff. To determine eligibility, contact us to receive a free visit from a Trained Volunteer Evaluator. If eligible, our Grant program pays 40% of the first $5,000 (maximum $2,000).

Rip Rap To Prevent Shoreline Erosion

Rip rap on unprotected shoreline is one of the best ways of reducing erosion and storm water runoff. To determine eligibility, contact us to receive a free visit from a Trained Volunteer Evaluator. If eligible, our Grant program pays 40% of the first $5,000 (maximum $2,000).

Septic System Pump Out

Community voices helped define the six essential priorities that anchor LOWA’s work: Water Quality, Wastewater, Lake Safety, Education & Outreach, LOWA LILs, and Recycling. If you are in the eligible grant area, sent your bill to adminasst@lowatershed.org and you will receive $100 through our grant program!
