Education Outreach includes many different activities. We offer presentations to civic groups and students, field trips, and workshops. We participate in many area events offering information about the ways we can all contribute toward a healthy watershed while living at Lake of the Ozarks. LOWA conducts numerous programs such as teaching property owners how to reduce storm water run-off on their lake-front property through the LILs program, workshops to build rain barrels to catch and reuse rainwater, and field trips for local schoolchildren to learn how vital they are in protecting this amazing area for generations to come.
